This is a good website, because it is a video with many example problems. There is a person speaking in the background while he is drawing out the problems. His labeling of the triangle is very detailed and his instructions are very clear and concise. It is slow paced and easy to follow. Unfortunately this is a YouTube video and can’t be viewed on the netbooks.
This is a good website to understand this concept because it thoroughly explains what exactly the geometric mean altitude theorem is. It provides the formula and somewhat of an example so the students can understand it better.
The following website starts from the beginning and defines what an altitude is and how the altitude creates 3 different triangles that are all similar. Then the website defines the geometric mean altitude theorem and gives different examples and formulas on how to solve them. There are then four problems given to solve, and once you scroll down further, the answers and how to solve them are offered. This is a great wbsite because it starts from the beginning, just incase you forgot how to do certain basic formulas from earlier chapters, and it ends with the geometric mean altitude theorem, which sums up the main concept of the purpose of the website.
The website above it a good website to learn about geometric mean altitude theorem. It is a slide show containing the definitions of geometric mean, altitude, and the geometric mean altitude theorem. It then shows how to work out an example problem and gives a couple example problems. I think that it is a very good site to study from and it helped me learn this topic a lot more.
